Abraham Benrubi: Career

Benrubi’s first major job was on the show Wings, playing the part of Roy “R.J.” Biggins, Jr., Roy’s gay son. This was the beginning of a long and successful career for Benrubi.

It would turn out that he would play the role of R.J. twice: the first time during the show’s first season, and the second time during the seventh season, not long after he started working on NBC’s ER.

Benrubi and his co-star Taj Johnson served as roadies for No Doubt’s first tour in between the first and second seasons of Parker Lewis Can’t Lose. The tour was for No Doubt’s self-titled first album.

Benrubi played Ben Tomasson, a bartender and millionaire, on the television show Men in Trees, which aired on ABC. Benrubi had a starring role in the show.

This was a part in which he had substantially more major dialog and depth than with his prior longterm characters on ER and Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, which mostly consisted of supporting speech.

In other words, this was a role in which he got more main dialog and depth.

TV writer David Bianculli referred to Ben Tomasson as “the cuddliest TV character since Jorge Garcia’s Hurley on Lost.” Ben Tomasson played the role of Hurley on Lost.

Other roles that the actor has played include Mose in the western Open Range, which he won after being eliminated from Kevin Costner’s earlier film, The Postman, which the actor had been a part of.

Other previous work includes roles such as these. He lends his voice to a number of characters on Robot Chicken, a stop-motion animation series broadcast on Adult Swim and developed by his close friend Seth Green.

In addition, he has made contributions to Titan Maximum, another series produced by the same people who created Robot Chicken.

After the conclusion of the first season of Men in Trees in the early months of 2007, Benrubi rejoined the cast of ER in the latter half of 2008 for the conclusion of the show’s run.

In a Roseanne episode that took place in the past, Benrubi played a younger version of the character Dan Conner, who was played by John Goodman.

Benrubi played the role of Big Dave Duncan on the short-lived ABC program Happy Town, which aired from April 2010 to June 2010.

The show ran from April 2010 to June 2010. Almost immediately after ABC announced the cancellation of the series, he appeared in a new show called Memphis Beat.

In that show, he played the part of police Sgt. Jody “JC” Lightfoot, a desk sergeant who is 1/16 Chickasaw by a distant relative, but who chooses to embrace Native American culture all the same.

It was revealed in May 2011 that he will be starring in the “3D psychological thriller” Glutton, which would be directed by David Arquette. Benrubi will play the role of Jethro, a guy who weighs 1,200 pounds and is compelled to preserve the life of his sister.

Patricia Arquette plays the role of Jethro’s sister, while Kacey Barnfield stars as his blind next-door neighbor as well as his one and only buddy.

Benrubi is a member of the Sacred Fools Theater Company, which is based in Los Angeles.
