The actor Haelyn Shastri, who was most recently seen in Sooryavanshi as a member of ATS, got her start in the entertainment industry working as a body double for Kajol in an advertisement. Her first Malayalam film was unable to be released, but she persevered and, after working in a few South Indian films and numerous television shows, she was finally able to break into the Hindi film industry. Her first film was in Malayalam.
The role of Inspector Dawood Ibrahim, which Shastri played opposite Jayasurya, was the one that launched her career and brought her recognition. “After that, I made the transition to television, and at the suggestion of one of the directors, I began practising the Hindi language and improving my diction.” The first production I ever did, titled Yeh Hain Mohabattein, did not include any dialogue.
After that, I continued my career by appearing on a variety of shows, such as Shreemad Bhagwad, Kaun Hai, Tenali Rama, Vighnaharta Ganesha, and Radha Krishn.

Much later, I tried out for the role of a lady cop working for an ATS gang, and I was eventually chosen for the role.
But they were not confirming me, and I ended up getting cast as a co-lead in a television show.
I decided to take a chance and let it go, and thankfully, I got the part in the film. Even though it’s a minor one, people have noticed me.
The most exhilarating thing about it is that Akshay sir (Kumar) calls me by my sir name, Shastri!
“My emotions have been all over the place throughout this experience. I have been going through nonstop auditions and a never-ending stream of rejections, but the process is pushing me to improve myself in every way.
Rejections have been opportunities for me to grow and improve. The actor states, “On television, I began with a passing shot, followed by cameos, and it was only then that I could make my mark.”
When she thinks back on how she got her start in acting, she says things like, “While I was working on my graduation in Mumbai, a common contact of ours offered me the chance to act as a body double for Kajol.” It was a dream come true to be able to spend time with her, shoot, and walk away with $3000.
But because of that, I came to the conclusion that I am not cut out for a 9 to 5 job, and that this is what I should be doing instead.
As a result, I began looking into various opportunities while I was still residing in Dubai with my parents.
After that, I was extended an invitation to shoot an advertisement in Kerala. I spent ten times as much on flights and equipment to shoot it (laughs).
After beginning to study Malayalam, I was cast in a movie in which I played a transgender character; however, the movie has not been released as of yet.
