Both Bilour and his uncle Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, who is a Member of the National Assembly, were earlier accused of vandalising a women’s polling station during the by-elections that took place on August 22 in NA-1.

On October 11, 2013, the Peshawar High Court confirmed their eligibility for pre-arrest bail.

A member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was allegedly beaten by security guards employed by Bilour in the year 2016.

Bilour also filed a complaint against the PTI worker, alleging that the PTI worker had pointed a gun at him before Bilour’s security guards stepped in to defend him. This complaint was registered against the PTI worker.

During the month of June 2018, Bilour voiced opposition to the Town-1 Peshawar administration’s decision to prohibit the display of election posters and banners on historic city gates, on the protected city wall, and on the Gorkhatri Archaeological Complex.

He stated that the Election Commission of Pakistan had the authority to determine the rules governing the display of flags and banners in accordance with the code of conduct.

Haroon Bilour: Death

During a campaign rally in Peshawar for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial election in 2018, Death Bilour and 21 other people were killed in a suicide explosion carried out by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, a terrorist group in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The election was being held in 2018.
