Pasupathy (Ratsasan): Early Life
In 1967, Pasupathy Masilamani was born in the neighbourhood of Vannandurai, which is located in the northern portion of Chennai, India.
In 1984, he became a member of the “Koothu-P-Pattarai” theatre company based in Chennai, and he remained with the company until 1997. There, he received his education and continued to mature until he began a career in acting in movies.
It was during his time at the film institute that he struck up a friendship with the actor Nassar, who would later become a member of the Koothu-P-Pattarai.

Actor Pasupathi is a familiar face in Tamil cinema. He has collaborated with many of the most famous actors and actresses in the Tamil cinema industry, appearing in a wide variety of roles.
He was born in the year 1968 in the region of Maduravayil, which is located in Tamil Nadu, India.
Between the years 1988 and 1993, he was a prominent news reader and host on the Deepavali Celebration show while working as a jockey for All India Radio Tamil.
In addition to that, he had roles in a few short television series, one of which was S.Ve. Shekhar’s Vanna Kolangal, in which he played a minor character.
He originally gained widespread recognition with his performance in the well-known Doordarshan television serial Vizhutugal, which was directed by Gopi Bhimsingh and was responsible for the careers of a large deal of contemporary television stars.
His first role in a mainstream movie was in the comedy “Housefull,” in which he was cast as a dishonest police officer. Additionally, he appeared in the movie Alavandhan as a fellow prisoner of the dummy’s character in a supporting role (Riaz Khan).

While he was employed at Marudhanayagam, Nassar approached him and inquired as to whether or not he had any interest in the film industry.
After that, Pasupathy was presented to Kamal Haasan, and Kamal Haasan cast him in the part of the antagonist in Marudhanayagam.
According to Pasupathy, “That was the very first time I was in front of the camera.” Marudhanayagam was put on hold, and instead, he made his debut with Nasser’s Mayan, a project in which he had also participated.
In the movie Virumaandi, he played the part of Kothaala Thevar, which was his first prominent role.
Later in his career, he began to portray villains in a variety of films, including Dhool, Sullan, Madhurey, and Thirupaachi, among others. Later on, he attempted his hand at comedy with the films Mumbai Xpress and Majaa.
His first leading part was in the film Veyyil, which went on to win the National Film Award. In addition, he had main roles in the films Raman Thediya Seethai and Kuselan, in which the former portrayed him as a blind radio DJ and the latter cast him in the role of a rural barber.
For the role of Kombhoodhi, the warrior chief of a hamlet in the 18th century, which he played in the period-based action drama Aravaan, for which he trained at the gym for six months, the story takes place in the 18th century.
He received acclaim for his performance as Annachi in the Tamil movie Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, which was released in 2013.
He appeared in a film called The Last Vision, which was an independent English film developed by young people in Kerala specifically for festival screenings.
