Fictional Character of Wil Deusner

Skaar is the offspring of Caiera the Oldstrong, who was married to Hulk. During the period that the Hulk spent on the planet Sakaar, Caiera became pregnant with him there. Skaar awoke from his cocoon after the Hulk had left the planet with the appearance and age equivalence of a human preteen. This occurred after the Hulk had left the planet. He reached the appearance of a teenager in the span of just one year after swiftly maturing. In a short amount of time following that, Skaar reached the physical and mental maturity of a fully grown adult. Skaar was raised by the wild animals of his native planet, which instilled in him the necessity of killing in order to ensure his own survival. After proving himself to be a ruthless and competent general, he establishes himself as Axeman Bone’s adversary. In subsequent years, he comes into possession of the “Old Force,” a stone-based power that grants him the ability to extract energy from the planet itself.

Skaar was able to have a conversation with the ghost of his mother, Caiera, who had been thought to have passed away. He wages battle against Axeman Bone, but this only serves to postpone the evacuation of his people from the planet as Galactus, the devourer of worlds, draws ever closer to destroying it. Caiera steals the Old Power from Skaar when she is trying to reason with him. This is because the planet has enough energy to satisfy Galactus’ thirst for a hundred thousand years.  Caiera learns from Skaar that he always had the intention of ridding the planet of its darkness. Skaar’s Old Power is then restored by the Silver Surfer, who also shows him a vision of the death and destruction of Sakaar. This causes Skaar to destroy the spacecraft that were evacuated from the planet. He warns the Surfer that he will use the Old Power to enhance Galactus’ appetite and put other planets in peril, including those that have previously been saved by the Surfer. If the Surfer does not spare his planet, the Old Power will be used. After breaking the news to the people of Sakaar that ensuring their safety will result in the destruction of a great number of planets, the Surfer leaves. Caiera condemns Skaar for his choice and takes on some of his Old Power in the process. She then banishes him from Sakaar and waits for Galactus to eat her while she awaits her fate.

Skaar comes to Earth with the single intention of killing his father, the Hulk, once he gets here. After running into trouble with the United States military, the Fantastic Four, and the Warbound, he finally comes face to face with the Hulk. Skaar is unaware of the changes that the Hulk has undergone since his time spent on Sakaar. The confrontation between the Hulk and Skaar results in the Hulk easily prevailing, but the conflict opens a crack that puts a nuclear power plant in jeopardy. When Skaar understands that this Hulk is not the “War Hulk” that spawned him and that he intends to kill, he refrains from continuing his assault on the Hulk. He stops the crack from damaging the power plant and announces that he would make Earth his new home.
